(Transaction of 50 gold from Truiev to Deschain)
(50 bullets sold to Truieve)
[ShadowTheBuu] Shadow was currently working in a smithy somewhere in Venes city, somewhere in the industrial district. Seemed like the best place to him as he was working with metal, and was pretty hot and heavy work. The area he worked in was a small garage which he was borrowing for now until he could get a better place to work at. In a furnace was a number of blades being heated to be prepared for work. Shadow himself could be found next to the furnace, watching the blades in the fire intently.
[Truiev Deschain] She walked through the districts heading towards a weapons shop she was told to visit, she wandered down the street looking at the signs and her map trying to follow the directions properly, walking into a few of the wrong spots but having locals point her in the right direction, she stopped at the shop and rang the bell out front, “Hello?”
[ShadowTheBuu] "One moment..." He would take a pair of large, metal pliars and works the blades around to where they would heat up more evenly. Soon, he places the pliars to the side, then walks outside looking around for the person who rang the bell. Spotting Truiev, he would straighten himself and nods his head in greeting. "Welcome, I am Shadow the blacksmithe and this is my smithy where I make many different weapons! How may I be of service?"
[Truiev Deschain] “Bullets, I need to buy bullet casings for my revolver.” She turns to the side and shows the shiny revolver on her hip, turning her body to face him again and says, “I have gunpowder here on me.” She reaches out and puts the bag on the counter, “I need a bag of bullets, casings made, filled and capped, how much would that run me? I do not have any money maybe a little from travelers I helped on my way back to Venes, but yes not much. Do you also have a 800 grit sharpening whet stone?”
[ShadowTheBuu] "800 grit..." he would repeat to get it clear in his head. A moment later he brings a hand up and extends an index finger upward. "Let me check." He would look to the gun powder and picks it up and walks off with it to a set of boxes which were a fair distance away from the smelter and furnace in which he used for his work. Opening one box, he looks inside, then reaches inside and takes out a sharpening stone with the number "8" engrave on the top of it. "Yes." He walks back out and places the 800 grit sharpening block on the counter beetween him and Truiev. "It will take a little while for me to prepare the bullets, I should let you know."
[Truiev Deschain] “Do you mind if you let me use this sharpening stone to put an edge on my chakrams?” She said taking the stone and sitting down on the ground, looking up at the man that was not there anymore at least for her line of vision, she looks at her weapons, taking the chakrams off her waist waiting for an answer.
[ShadowTheBuu] "Yeah, go ahead." He would turn and walk off to get the items he needed to start casting and shelling the bullets. "By the way, those bullets you want made. What calibur are they? 44? 50?"
[Truiev Deschain] She sharpening her chakram, she screams out to Shadow, “50!” She said rubbing her feather the stone up against her chakram, almost vibrating it as she honed a new edge across the blade by itself.
[ShadowTheBuu] "Right, 50..." He says to himself, before taking out a mold for 50 calibur bullets. He then grabs walks off and places it in a work station which had a place to put the mold under a small smelter in which to melt the metal. He then takes out a few small blocks of lead metal and places them in to the smelter. "For the bullets, it'll cost you about one coin per bullet. How many you want made?"
[Truiev Deschain] “Until the gunpowder runs out…..I do not like to buy bullets normally but when I do, I want them to last me forever, or as long as they last.” She said hoping she had the money to cover that cost. She slowly twirled the chakram in her hand, pushing up against the grit, feathering slowly, dropping the stone as she reaches into her bag pulling out a small vial, dropping mineral oil onto her blade as she took the stone back, feathering with much more ease.
[ShadowTheBuu] "Very well..." He would wait until the metal was nice and melted, then takes out a small pair of pliars and picks up the small smelter before slowly pouring the metal in to the bullet molds. As he did this, he would speak out once again. "Just for some light conversation, if you don't mind- how did you hear about this place?"
[Truiev Deschain] “I asked if there was a custom black smith in the area, not someone who will sell me bullets that came out of a box…..I am against that, I only use bullets made for my weapon not out of a box…..that would be like spitting on my father’s grave…..” She said finishing her chakram. She stands up setting the grit stone on the counter and says, “You have a piece of hard leather or hide I can test to see if I got this sharp enough?”
[ShadowTheBuu] "Um... not really, sorry." He said as he would wait for the metal in the molds to cool off so he could cast them. "Usually I just use a piece of paper then run the blade along it to see if it will do the job." He would now turn the mold upside down, emptying the cooled, hardened bullets on to a foam mat so that they didn't hit a hard surface. "Using hide and leather is kind of a waste of materiels that I could be using for either armor or handle grips."
[Truiev Deschain] “Yeah that is the best way to tell if a weapon like this is sharp…….because this blade will cut through paper if it is dull.” She holsters her chakram and says, “Do not worry about I will test it out on something later, maybe a tree……or kill something with it when I hunt for some food.” She leans to the side to see what he was doing, so she could watch.
[ShadowTheBuu] Taking the bullets, he takes them to a contraption in which the bullet would be packed in to the casing. Of coarse, first he had to put the primer and powder in first. He did this about 6 casings at a time before taking them and placing them in to the contraption which he places the bullets just above the casing, then punches the bullet in to the casing. "Well, if it does not cut like it should, bring it in and I'll see if can sharpen it up some more. That good?"
[Truiev Deschain] Truiev looks at him and says, “I will come back and get another grit stone to finish the job myself, no offense to your sharpening skills or anything, this is just a very valuable heirloom, and my first three years of having it ever, was learning how to put an edge and keep it sharp…..so I know I can do it, just like to test it out, do not want to test it out on me again, because I pushed to deep once and made a big mess.”
[ShadowTheBuu] Shadow gave a slightly disturbed look. Usually he himself was able to cut in to himself like that and he was able to regenerate with out much a mess, but when other people did it that kind of worried him. "Yeeeeah, kind of probably not the best idea to test weapons on yourself." He would take six bullets he had finished preparing and placed them in to a small card board box which could hold up to 20 50 cal bullets. "Like I said, I try to conserve on my materials. Have you ever tried bamboo wrapped in wet paper?"
[Truiev Deschain] Truiev shook her head and said, “No cannot say that I have…..much less got my hands on anything like that….ever……” She shrugs and says, “I will test it out later, it is no problem, seeing as I am stuck here at the moment.”
[ShadowTheBuu] "Well, like I said: it takes a while to do this by hand." He would prepare another set of 6 bullets with casings. Doing the same thing of putting the gun powder and primer in to the casing before taking them to the contraption and punching the bullets in to the casing one at a time before placing them in the cardboard box. "So if you really want to hang around here and see me do the same thing about 7 or 8 more times, then grab a seat!" He said with a slightly embarrassed smile.
[Truiev Deschain] “Oh no I did not mean here….like stuck here in your shop for a while…..I meant Tiberia……” She takes a seat and sighs, “That seemed kind of rude, I am sorry if I came off rude……” She frowns slightly, before looking up at him watching him make her bullets and says, “I normally do this when I am at home….but I have no means of making them now….at least in this world.”
[ShadowTheBuu] "No harm, no foul." Was all he said in response to her apology. He continues to cast the bullets, smelting more lead and molding bullets as he needed as the gunpowder she gave him allowed. "To tell you the truth, I know how that is... I lost my last home to a disaster a long time ago."
[Truiev Deschain] “I kind of just woke up here…..with my memory lost of the how or why I got here…..parts of this place, mostly Venes, and outside of Venes looks so…..familiar to me…..I just do not know how I remember this place…..” She shrugs, “The more I am in Venes the more I keep having these dreams or memories I guess. Maybe it will come back to me.”
[ShadowTheBuu] "Most likely..." He said in a manner to show he had nothing more to add to the subject. As they spoke, he had continued with his task, until finally now he would punch the last bullet in to the casing. It had taken a number of small card board boxes. 50 bullets in total, and 20 per box he used up about 3 small card board boxes to place the ammo in which he takes up to the counter finally and places them upon for Truiev to retrieve. "Here you go, that's about 50 bullets which tallies up to about 50-" he stops himself, tilting his head to the side. Should he? Would he? ... Why the heck not, just for once. "Tell you what, this time- since your a first time customer, I'll give you a 50% discount. 25 gold and we'll call it squarsies."
[Truiev Deschain] She looks at him and looks down at her coin bag and hands him fifty coins. She shakes her head, “I insist on paying full price, this is how you make your living and I should not rob you, money in this world should not mean much to me, but it will buy my bullets and got my chakram ready and that is worth more since now I can dine and eat.” She smiles at him.
[ShadowTheBuu] Shadow would look to the 50 gold, blinking once before he shrugs his shoulders. "Well, alright, thanks." He takes the gold and begins counting it one coin at a time. It was a pretty quick effort, flicking the coins one at a time towards himself before he places them in to a small lock box and closes. "Well, I hope I can have you as a customer again, it was good having someone to talk with and such." He offers his hand to her in a friendly, professional manner.
[Truiev Deschain] She reaches out and shakes his hand and smiles, “Thank you, thank you for making the bullets.” She said taking the bullets, counting them, inspecting a few of them before putting them into a special bag. She placed the bag into her satchel and sighed, “My name is Truiev by the way, you introduced yourself and I never said who I was.”
[ShadowTheBuu] "It's alright, nice to meet you, Truiev." He would gently squeeze her hand before releasing it and turns as he heads back to his smelter. The sword blades which he was going to work on earlier were now pretty good and white hot now. Taking a pair of pliars he a hammer as he grabs one blade with the pliars and holds it over an anvil. Hammer in hand, he gets to work on making a broadsword blade.
